    Privacy policy

    This privacy policy covers poptags.gg, a store run by Muaaz LLC ("PopTags", "we"). It sets out what we collect when you visit the Site or buy something from us, what we do with it, and who else sees it. Anything that can identify you personally is called "Personal Information" here.

    What we collect and why

    Device information. Your browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie data, which pages and products you look at, what you search for, and how you move around the Site. Collected automatically through cookies, log files, web beacons, tags and pixels. We use it to load the Site correctly for you and to see how the Site gets used so we can improve it. Shared with our processor, Shopify.

    Order information. Your name, billing address, payment information, email address and phone number. Collected from you at checkout. Shopify processes the payment, so we never see your full card number. We use this information to deliver what you bought, take payment, send you invoices and order confirmations, contact you about your order, screen orders for fraud, and, in line with the preferences you've shared with us, send you information or advertising about our products. Shared with our processor, Shopify.

    What you give us for the animation. Depending on the product, that's a channel link, a username or handle, or a Discord invite link, plus the display name and profile picture we take from that public page where the animation shows them. Some products, like the plain like and subscribe buttons, don't ask you for anything at all. Collected from you and from the page you point us to. We use it to build the animation you ordered. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to advertisers.

    Customer support information. Your name, email address, the details of your order, and anything else you put in the message, whenever you write to us. Collected from you, used to answer you.

    Children

    The Site isn't meant for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child has given us Personal Information, email us at info@poptags.gg and we'll delete it.

    Who we share it with

    We share Personal Information with the services that help us run the store and deliver your order:

    We may also share Personal Information to comply with the law, to answer a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.

    Opting out of targeted advertising

    We use your Personal Information to sell you the animation, take the payment, build and deliver your order, answer your questions, and keep you up to date on new products, services and offers in line with the preferences you've shared with us. If you'd rather not be targeted by ads, you can turn that off at the source:

    Lawful basis, if you are in the EEA

    Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your Personal Information on these bases: your consent; performing the contract between you and the Site; meeting our legal obligations; protecting your vital interests; carrying out a task in the public interest; and our legitimate interests, where those do not override your rights and freedoms.

    How long we keep it

    When you order through the Site we keep your Personal Information on record until you ask us to erase it. See "Your rights" below for how to ask.

    Automated decision-making

    If you live in the EEA you have the right to object to decisions made purely by automation, including profiling, where those decisions have a legal effect on you or affect you in some other significant way. We do not make fully automated decisions about you that have that kind of effect. Shopify, our processor, uses limited automated decision-making to block fraud, which does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you. That amounts to a temporary blocklist of IP addresses tied to repeated failed transactions, which lasts a few hours, and a temporary blocklist of credit cards tied to those IP addresses, which lasts a few days.

    We do not sell your information

    We do not sell Personal Information, including Personal Information as the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) defines it.

    Your rights

    GDPR. If you live in the EEA you can ask to see the Personal Information we hold about you, to have it moved to another service, and to have it corrected, updated or erased. To make any of those requests, email us at info@poptags.gg. Your Personal Information is first processed in Ireland and then transferred outside Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States.     CCPA. If you live in California you may have the right to see the Personal Information we hold about you (the Right to Know), to have it moved to another service, and to have it corrected, updated or erased. Email us at info@poptags.gg. You can also name an authorized agent to make those requests for you. Tell us at the same address.

    Cookies

    A cookie is a small piece of information saved to your computer or phone when you visit the Site. We use functional, performance, advertising and social or content cookies. They let the Site remember what you did and what you picked, so you're not re-entering the same thing on every page, and they tell us whether you're a first-time or returning visitor.

    How long a cookie stays on your device depends on whether it's a session cookie or a persistent one. Session cookies end when you stop browsing. Persistent cookies last until they expire or you delete them, and most of ours expire somewhere between 30 minutes and two years after they land on your device.

    You can control cookies through your browser, usually under Tools or Preferences, and most browsers accept them by default. Blocking or deleting them can break parts of the Site. Your browser's help file has the specifics, and allaboutcookies.org explains cookies in general.

    Do Not Track

    There is no agreed industry standard for what a "Do Not Track" signal should do, so we don't change what we collect or how we use it when your browser sends one.

    Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy when our practices change, or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The current version always lives on this page.
